About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Human Resources Manager to join our team at Hyatt Regency Sydney. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in supporting the operations of the hotel and driving business results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the recruitment process for all colleagues, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
- Develop strong relationships with hotel leaders, creating and maintaining an internal talent pipeline to drive business growth and succession planning.
- Assist the Human Resources Manager with the coordination of training initiatives and events, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Handle colleague enquiries and provide timely and effective support to resolve any HR-related issues.
- Act as a point of contact for our Payroll team and proactively respond to Payroll queries, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll information.
- Assist with driving colleague health and wellbeing initiatives, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a HR leadership role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Outgoing and people-focused, with a passion for creating an inclusive workplace culture.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment practices, performance management, and HR policies and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- NSW Return to Work Coordinator certification, in line with state requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Fair Work Act and Hospitality Industry General Award.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Full, valid Australian working rights.
