Material Handler / Counterbalance Forklift Operator Job

We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Material Handler/Forklift Operator to support our production team at a well-established manufacturing facility.

About the Role

This position involves operating a counterbalance forklift to move in-process and finished stock, supporting production by moving materials between areas, controlling room operations, and data entry of shipments. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and securing plant equipment.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
  • Support production workflow by moving materials between areas
  • Manage room operations, including data entry and inventory control
  • Clean, maintain, and secure plant equipment
  • Participate in safety meetings and adhere to company policies
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Current Forklift (Counterbalance) Licence
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Physical fitness to work in hot environments with odorous conditions
  • Able to work day and afternoon shifts, with Sunday work required during peak periods
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Computer literacy for data entry tasks
  • Self-motivation, reliability, and ability to follow procedures
