Electrical Trainer Job Description

Brunel Papua New Guinea is seeking an experienced Electrical Trainer to join our team. As an Electrical Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and inductions to our employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for Electrical Workers, including inductions, low voltage rescue, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Improve compliance training standards on site by updating training materials, verifying competency, and reviewing online learning packages
  • Ensure training materials are controlled using the Central Document Management System
  • Align training processes and materials to Electrical Standards, operating procedures, industry standards, and learnings from incidents
  • Maintain Site Electrical Competencies in the Learning Management System (LMS) and manage electrical worker authorizations
  • Train and coach other Electrical Trainers to maintain high-quality training standards
  • Deliver training and assessments for Certificate III in Electrotechnology, post-trade competencies, and skill sets
  • Ensure training is delivered in accordance with Mine Standards, policies, and RTO standards

Requirements:

  • Nationally Accredited Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)
  • Current HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary (First Aid) and UETDRMP007 LV Rescue qualifications
  • Advanced electrical or powerline trade/technical skills and knowledge
  • Relevant substation and/or switching experience
  • RTO training experience and trade qualification/s in Electrotechnology
  • A current electrical license
  • Experience in learning and development with strong facilitation and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervision of course participants
  • Experience coordinating training-related projects and qualifications relevant to high voltage plant and power station plant
