About MERCURE

Closer to home, and conveniently located in Newcastle on the NSW coast, MERCURE is looking for a Part Time Hotel All-Rounder to join their team. This location offers an excellent work-life balance, with Sydney only 2 hours away.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional service, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to check-out
  • Serve as the first point of contact for guests and visitors, providing a warm welcome and departure
  • Work varied shifts in Food & Beverage and Front Desk, taking on a range of tasks that ensure each day is different
  • Maintain accurate guest accounts, handle reservations, and promote hotel facilities
  • Offer passionate, knowledgeable, and friendly service to external and internal guests at all times
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a hotel environment
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Opera
  • The ability to multitask, work under pressure, and think critically to resolve issues quickly
  • Excellent communication skills and pride in personal presentation
  • A genuine customer service focus and dedication to making guests smile during their stay
  • Valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) or willingness to obtain one before starting
