ARTC is a leading rail network owner in Australia, responsible for managing over 6,000km of track and serving a diverse range of supply chains. Our team of over 500 staff and 24 provisioning centres and depots work together to deliver major corridor maintenance works and projects across the country, increasing the efficiency and capacity of Australia's rail network.
About the Role
As a Rail Track Maintenance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of ARTC's rail network. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing preventative and reactive maintenance activities on rail tracks
- Undertaking minor construction for planned capital upgrades
- Conducting visual inspections of rail tracks
- Operating heavy machinery and equipment
- Welding and other maintenance tasks
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- A current unrestricted driver's license and proficiency in driving a manual car
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a team environment
Desirable Skills
- Past or present rail industry experience, specifically in track maintenance
- A Heavy Rigid License or willingness to obtain one
- High Risk License and experience in operating heavy plant equipment (Excavator, Forklift, and Front End Loader)
- Construction industry induction (white card)
