Job Overview

This is a key role in our ICT team where you will be responsible for protecting the integrity and security of our systems.

The Cyber Security Specialist will help maintain security and integrity of all ICT and Business systems, assist in planning, design, upgrade, and implementation of security systems, conduct internal security assessments, audits, and incident response activities, monitor and analyse system alerts, logs, and incidents, develop and maintain cyber security policies, procedures, and response plans, deliver security awareness training and educational programs, stay informed on emerging cyber threats, tools, and best practices, contribute to cyber security certifications and compliance frameworks, and support the ICT team with technical escalations and security issues.

Responsibilities
  • Protect the integrity and security of our systems by maintaining security and integrity of all ICT and Business systems
  • Plan, design, upgrade, and implement security systems to meet business requirements
  • Conduct regular internal security assessments, audits, and incident response activities to identify vulnerabilities and risks
  • Monitor and analyse system alerts, logs, and incidents to ensure timely detection and response to security threats
  • Develop and maintain cyber security policies, procedures, and response plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Deliver security awareness training and educational programs to educate employees on security best practices
  • Stay informed on emerging cyber threats, tools, and best practices to stay ahead of potential threats
  • Contribute to cyber security certifications and compliance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Support the ICT team with technical escalations and security issues to ensure smooth operation of systems
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Cyber Security role within a business environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 environments, SaaS applications, and on-premises infrastructure
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or similar are highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of Windows OS (including Server), firewalls, and networking
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving security incidents
  • Knowledge of industry standards, compliance obligations, and best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills and time management
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
