Parking Enforcement Officer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Parking Enforcement Officer to join our team at Findmea. As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the amenity of our municipality by enforcing parking restrictions and promoting compliance with parking regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce parking restrictions and regulations in accordance with the Road Safety Act and Regulations.
  • Monitor and patrol streets, car parks, and other public areas to ensure compliance with parking controls.
  • Prepare and issue infringement notices for alleged breaches of parking regulations.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with local traders and business owners to promote voluntary compliance with parking control measures.
  • Conduct daily inspections and perform minor maintenance of parking equipment, including ticket machines and pay stations.
  • Recommend and prepare reports on changes required to existing signage or new restrictions that may be required in a given area.
Requirements:
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to handle conflicts and resolve issues independently.
  • Organizational abilities and skilled in planning and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work well with diverse groups.
  • Tech-savvy and competent in using technology for enforcement tasks.
  • Victoria Driver's License (valid) and National Police Check (with Stat Dec) issued within the last 6 months.
  • Ability to commit to rosters with a proven track record of good attendance and punctuality.
