Strategic Team Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Team Manager to join our Asset Management and Planning team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in leading our growing AMP water team and driving business growth through innovative approaches.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned leader to make a lasting impact on our organization. Reporting directly to the Water Section Executive, Asset Management & Planning, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the team, including:

  • Overseeing commercial and financial performance
  • Leading business development and positioning activities
  • Maintaining performance aligned with strategic goals

You will also be responsible for staff well-being, professional development, and mentoring direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Ensuring optimal team utilisation and project governance
  • Leveraging your expertise to drive successful tender preparation and submission
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and employee wellness
  • Developing and implementing action plans to achieve strategic objectives
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A proven track record in team management, preferably in a consulting environment
  • Strong connections within the water utilities market, particularly in Victoria
  • Experience in project management and commercial aspects of infrastructure planning
  • The ability to develop strategic plans and translate them into actionable strategies

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated at $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure may vary based on individual circumstances.
