Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cost Management Specialist to join our project team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely cost reports, managing project budgets, and ensuring that costs are optimized throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive cost management plans, including risk identification and mitigation strategies.
  • Provide regular cost forecasts and trend analysis to inform project decision-making.
  • Establish and manage project baseline budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and minimizing financial risks.
  • Produce end-of-month cost reports, highlighting variances and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective cost management and minimize financial risks.
  • Compile and submit client progress claims, in collaboration with the Project Cost Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commercial, engineering, finance, or similar fields.
  • Minimum 5 years' practical experience on major infrastructure projects, with a focus on cost management.
  • Experience with cost management tools (Excel, SAP, Power BI, SharePoint).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Conflict resolution skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.
