About Rydges Port Macquarie
Located in the picturesque town of Port Macquarie, Rydges is a leading hotel operator offering an authentic and welcoming experience to guests from around the world.
We are currently seeking a skilled Commis Chef to join our team on a casual basis. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and supporting separate outlets within the hotel.
The successful candidate will have a strong passion for delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure. A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or completion of a cookery apprenticeship is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present menu items to a high standard
- Work closely with chefs and apprentices to ensure seamless food production
- Coordinate the stewarding team to maintain kitchen hygiene and safety standards
In addition to your culinary expertise, you will also be expected to possess excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
A competitive salary of $$$65,000 - $75,000 per annum is on offer for this exciting opportunity, reflecting your exceptional skills and experience as a Commis Chef.
