The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in providing technical support and solutions to complex engineering problems. AEMO's Operations Planning team requires professionals who can analyze data, identify issues, and provide expert advice to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the power system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing advanced computer-based network analysis to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Assessing planned network outages to determine the impact on system security and reliability.
- Providing key analytical and technical input to support operational decision-making.
As a senior member of the Operations Planning team, you will be responsible for mentoring and guiding junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise.
Requirements- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficient use of programming languages (Python, SQL etc) and analytical software packages.
- Understanding of the power system and ability to apply this knowledge to solve complex problems.
