As an English Language Instructor at a reputable educational institution, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality language lessons to international students.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive English language lessons up to 20 hours per week face-to-face using flexible methodologies catering to the proficiency levels and individual learning needs of international students.
  • Regularly reflect on delivery and outcomes of teaching, engage in professional development programs, and maintain a professional portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with national standards and codes of practice for providers of education and training to overseas students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters active language acquisition.
  • Develop and deliver weekly formative assessment tasks and record results of student academic outcomes, participation, and engagement, providing constructive feedback to students.
  • Maintain a collaborative attitude in a team environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year (840 hours) experience teaching IELTS preparation in a classroom setting is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in helping students achieve their objectives in formal mock-test simulations is crucial.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent tertiary education is required.
  • A recognized TESOL qualification, such as CELTA, Cert IV TESOL, or Post Grad in TESOL, is mandatory.
  • Experience using database-style systems to record student outcomes is desirable.
