Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of junior quality professionals
  • Ensure compliance with all customer and regulatory requirements, including HACCP, BRC, GMP, and QMS
  • Conduct internal and external audits to ensure quality standards are met
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, and conduct root cause analysis
  • Develop and maintain quality manuals, SOPs, and HACCP plans
  • Participate in quality and operational meetings to ensure seamless communication
  • Chair the weekly sanitation meeting to ensure a clean and safe working environment
  • Implement and maintain a micro swabbing and pH testing program to ensure product quality

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in a QA role in the food industry is essential
  • Previous people management experience is highly regarded
  • Previous experience working in a high-care manufacturing environment is advantageous
  • Ability to lead and provide mentorship to a team
  • Excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills
