Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Morwell region. As an Occupational Therapist - Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals with physical and psychological conditions achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
This is a diverse and challenging role that requires strong clinical knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical professionals, and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Case management, ensuring that clients receive timely and effective support;
- Applying clinical expertise to improve return to work outcomes through vocational assessments and injury prevention programs;
- Developing and implementing workplace education programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment;
- Collaborating with employers and employees to address psychosocial barriers to employment;
- Working across various schemes, including workers' compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
- Assisting clients to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes through a variety of assessments, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy;
- Full Professional Registration with AHPRA;
- Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation would be highly regarded;
- Fabulous communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders;
- Compassion, empathy, and kindness in your interactions with clients;
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple caseloads;
- A current Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
The estimated salary for this position is between $90,000 and $120,000 per annum, depending on experience. IPAR offers a dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
