Key Role in Healthcare Integration

The Principal Integration Delivery Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing the successful schedule and delivery of integration solutions of varying complexity within the Enterprise Integration Platform.

This position is responsible for providing access to patient and clinical data for critical healthcare applications across Queensland Health, specifically in the integration with the national My Health Record system.

  • Design and implement technical solutions that align with best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks.
  • Specify and design large or complex systems, selecting appropriate design standards, methods, and tools consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of technical specialisms and provide expert advice regarding their application.
  • Manage the development, publication, implementation, and compliance of program/project deliverables and related standards and procedures at an enterprise level.
  • Lead the assessment, analysis, development, documentation, and implementation planning of large complex IM/ICT changes, including the evaluation of risks to the integrity of infrastructure inherent in proposed implementations.
Requirements and Qualifications

This role requires:

  • Demonstrated experience leading the design, publication, implementation, compliance, and delivery of technical solutions to industry best practice frameworks for large-scale, complex IM/ICT infrastructure delivery programs/projects, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience developing and testing HL7 messaging and Java-based message-oriented middleware solutions.
  • Prioritizing, scheduling, and managing the delivery of new capability between project, development, operational, and business stakeholders.
  • Able to analyze and document stakeholder objectives and underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements and problems.
  • Experience designing large or complex integration solutions and providing expert knowledge in relevant design standards, techniques, and methods and tools for large-scale complex organizations.
