Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled winemaker to lead our high-quality wine production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all winemaking activities, ensuring operational excellence and delivering exceptional results.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage all winemaking operations, ensuring operational excellence
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team, providing guidance and support
  • Develop and implement production plans to meet forecasts, style, and budgets
  • Maintain and improve winemaking standards, technical specifications, and processes
  • Liaise with growers, performing vineyard inspections and coordinating vintage logistics
  • Ensure bottling specifications are met and analysis is completed
  • Operate a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Oenology or relevant discipline
  • Experience managing large-scale winery operations and teams
  • Business acumen, including financial management and budgeting
  • Advanced technical knowledge across diverse wine styles and varieties
  • Sensory analysis and quality evaluation skills
  • Broad knowledge of national and global wine trends
  • Experience with bulk wine and no-low alcohol production (advantage)
