Aviation Protection Officer

We are seeking an experienced Aviation Protection Officer to join our team at Mt Isa Airport on a part-time basis. As a key member of our airport operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of travelers and staff.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct screening activities in a fast-paced airport environment to maintain high levels of security and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including those related to security and safety procedures.
  • Create safe and memorable travel experiences for passengers and visitors by providing exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
Requirements:
  • The ability to complete a Transport Security Protection Course.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a keen eye for detail, with no prior security experience required.
  • The capacity to successfully pass drug and alcohol screening and medical assessments.
  • The ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) following a full criminal history check.
  • Availability to work on a 24/7 rotating roster.
  • Applied skills, knowledge, and physical ability to perform all security and safety emergency procedures.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing team environment.
