About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team, responsible for preparing and serving meals for up to 107 children daily. This is a full-time role with a set weekly schedule, offering a competitive earnings package and additional childcare fee benefits.

The ideal candidate will have experience in menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering and control, as well as maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with Food Safety regulations. They will also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to bringing learning to life and enabling children to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve healthy meals for up to 107 children daily
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and budgeting
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA approved Early Childhood qualification and experience in a cook role
  • A current Working with Children's Check / Blue Card / DCSI Clearance and First Aid
  • Completed or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Commitment to bringing learning to life and enabling children to reach their full potential
