Senior School Coordinator

Ravenswood is a day and boarding school for girls offering the HSC, IB Diploma Programme, and PYP in the Junior School. The school prioritizes staff health and wellbeing, with students achieving outstanding academic success through innovative teaching practices.

We seek a Senior School Coordinator to support the Head of Senior School in assisting Year Coordinators, Assistant Year Coordinators, and Mentors in Years 10-12. This role involves supporting staff working with students with social/emotional/behavioral concerns, as well as working with students and parents.

The successful candidate will be part of developing programs for student wellbeing in conjunction with the Head of Positive Education and Visible Wellbeing and Head of Senior School. They will work with the Deputy – Teaching and Learning, the Learning Enrichment team, and other academic staff to support students in Years 10-12.

This is a permanent, full-time position commencing at the beginning of Term 1, 2025. A teaching load is associated with this position, and the candidate must demonstrate their teaching ability in their Key Learning Area.

To secure this role, the candidate will:

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Show commitment to positive education and wellbeing, with a genuine interest in developing expertise in this area
  • Have an understanding of legislative frameworks and best practices regarding safeguarding, welfare, health, and safety of children and young people in schools
  • Demonstrate leadership in Child Protection and collaboration with Wellbeing staff in managing students at risk
  • Be an effective classroom teacher with a solid understanding of the curriculum
  • Be confident in differentiating curriculum in the classroom
  • Have a passion for their KLA and a creative and enthusiastic teaching style
  • Enjoy working in a committed and professional team within a Christian ethos
  • Qualification in Education and registration with NESA
  • Proactive and innovative approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Experience in a Year Coordination role
