Server Room Operations Manager

Elevate the standards of our server room operations by leading a team of experts and overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a high-performing team of professionals in charge of Microsoft's online services infrastructure.
  • Oversee routine operations and maintenance tasks for mechanical and electrical systems in our server rooms.
  • Maximize the availability of critical systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
  • Reduce the occurrence of high-impact incidents related to critical system failures.
  • Deliver on energy-efficient initiatives.
  • Ensure timely reporting to effectively manage and analyze Power, Temperature, and Relative Humidity metrics.

Establish strong working relationships with Engineering Groups (EGs) and business partners. Collaborate with regional and global peers to share best practices across the entire server room portfolio.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in mission-critical service management.
  • 5+ years of experience working in server room infrastructures and physical IT environments.
  • Proven leadership experience managing a diverse technical team.
  • Applicable certifications: ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, CCNA, ITIL v3 Foundation, Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF), Leadership Development, PMP, CDCP.

Experience working on large-scale projects, operating IT infrastructure, and maintaining certification in mechanical or electrical engineering is a plus. Background Check Requirements: Ability to meet customer and/or government security screening requirements.
