Job Summary

The Lead Engineer will collaborate with other engineering authorities to develop solutions that meet the project's requirements. This involves reviewing and approving Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), conducting assessments, and providing innovative technical solutions to stakeholders.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct systems analysis to derive function, performance and interface requirements to ensure electrical safety.
  • Engage with System Design activities to guarantee mechanical design artefacts are compatible with baselined products.
  • Perform technical risk analysis to support development and review of hazard logs, safety case arguments and risk mitigation actions.
  • Ensure assigned mechanical components are developed and implemented according to relevant standards and procedures.

Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualification in mechanical/mechatronics/structural engineering discipline; holding CPEng recognition with Engineers Australia and RPEQ qualification.
  • Experience in Engineering practices - Requirements Definition, Management, Analysis, Design and Verification and Validation.
  • Effective representation of Engineering professional services to internal and external customers.
  • Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience with a University Degree.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD parametric modelling software.
  • Military Standard electrical component/subsystem selection and procurement knowledge.
  • Familiarity with AS1100 Drawing standard.
