Job Description

The Senior Communications Manager is part of the team responsible for protecting and enhancing Australia Post's reputation. This is achieved through the delivery of Australia Post's communications strategy.

This role reports to the Head of Enterprise Communications and involves developing and implementing communication plans that directly support work conducted across the enterprise. The focus is on amplifying efforts that deliver on Australia Post's strategic objectives.

The Senior Communications Manager will develop and produce the Australia Post Annual Report. Additionally, this role involves working with the Head of Enterprise and General Manager, Communications, to embed best-in-class practice in the team.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Building trusted relationships with Executive level leaders across the entire business, preparing communications plans, briefs, messaging, and presentations as needed
  • Supporting key enterprise projects and initiatives by developing and advising on communications approaches to enhance team member and stakeholder engagement
  • Leading the drafting and production of Australia Post's Annual Report in collaboration with external partners and internal subject matter experts to meet statutory requirements and effectively communicate the scope of our operations and transformation

The ideal candidate is a seasoned communications expert and leader who can work calmly under pressure, quickly resolving issues methodically. They should be able to advocate for the customer, translate complex information into easy-to-understand communications, and have experience in project management, developing, executing, and evaluating communication plans and campaigns.

About the Opportunity

A competitive salary of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum is offered for this position, commensurate with experience. Salary may vary based on location and qualifications.
