Job Summary:

AFL Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Senior Immigration Lawyer to join our client's team as a 3-Dimensional Leader. This is a key pivotal leadership role that requires a stimulating challenge and rewards.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for managing your own immigration practice and clients, focusing on visa classes 482, 191, 400, 186, 408, and 494. You will provide full-spectrum advice, including visa options, eligibility, application merits, drafting submissions, and preparing and lodging visa applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a high volume of cases in a busy, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Providing technical immigration legal advice to corporate clients
  • Leading and mentoring a team of lawyers, paralegals, and administrators
  • Contributing ideas to improve and add value to the business
  • Assisting the sales and marketing team with business development

Requirements:

  • A lawyer admitted in Victoria with a current practicing certificate
  • A minimum of 5-15+ years of post-admission experience in immigration law, specifically with experience in employer-sponsored visas and AAT and Federal Circuit Court cases
  • A proven ability to autonomously manage a high volume of cases in a busy, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proactive, results-driven, and passionate about making a positive impact on real people's lives
  • A proven leader with outstanding communication and client engagement skills
