About the Position

As a Civil Engineer, you will apply essential engineering expertise to various projects across NSW. Your day-to-day tasks will be diverse and offer valuable experience.

The role will provide exposure to activities including design management, engineering assessment, project management, stakeholder management, and construction phase tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform tasks for the delivery of land development and infrastructure-related projects from initiation through to construction.
  • Prepare and update civil engineering documentation, including reports, cost estimates, specifications, tender documents, programs, and schedules.
  • Apply civil engineering knowledge to works including engineering drawings, calculations, reports, design criteria, to support engineering projects related to land development and infrastructure.
  • Perform site supervision and quality control inspections of civil infrastructure and land development projects, including adherence to design specifications, safety protocols, and Local/State Government standards.
  • Assist in the review of engineering drawings and submittals, respond to requests for information, prepare observation reports, and perform other contract administration tasks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 4 years working experience in civil engineering, project management, and/or site supervision of land development and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Membership with Engineers Australia or eligibility.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the interpretation and application of relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines.
  • Strong technical expertise and ability to produce accurate design documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in time management and organisational skills, including the ability to manage resources and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development through self-study, training, and seminars, and maintaining your Continual Professional Development (CPD).
