The Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager of Retail to lead our global retail operations. Reporting directly to our Brand Director, you'll play a pivotal role in driving excellence in channel trade, operations, and customer experience across all our retail touchpoints. Your mission will be to deliver an exceptional customer experience in every Cotton On store around the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead global retail operations, including sales techniques, merchandising, and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and improve customer experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of retail operations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to retail teams, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role within retail, preferably in fashion or apparel.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, including sales techniques, merchandising, and inventory management.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a track record of inspiring and developing teams.
  • Deep customer intelligence, with an intimate understanding of the market. Demonstrated ability to create an ecosystem for the customer, with great instinct and a fierce dedication to protecting how a brand appears across all touchpoints.
  • Possesses strong digital capabilities, with a comprehensive understanding of the market and the unique needs and preferences of our team and customers.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach and a passion for driving business growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
