Home Based Care Assistant

As a Community Care Worker, you will have the rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of older people in their homes. Our team is dedicated to providing compassionate and inclusive care that values respect, empathy, and dignity.
The role involves working independently in the community to assist clients with personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, dressing, and skin checks. You will also provide medication support by prompting, administering, and supervising medication.
Additionally, you will perform domestic duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, laundry, and meal preparation. Your role will also involve providing companionship and social interaction, transporting clients to appointments and social outings, and following care plans and advocating for client needs and preferences.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Certificate III in Individual Support or higher, a full Australian driver's licence with comprehensive insurance, access to a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle, and a smart mobile device. You must also be able to work autonomously and adapt to client needs.
A First Aid & CPR qualification and Manual Handling certificate would be desirable, as would experience working with the elderly and knowledge of aged care issues. An understanding of Italian culture and language would also be an asset.
