- Supporting the coordination of matters before VCAT, Planning Panels, and Advisory Committees.
- Leading reform and change processes to deliver improved outcomes and administrative efficiency in strategic planning and place planning decision-making.

- Preparing state-wide guidelines, best practices, and training to ensure consistent and authoritative decision-making.
- Coordinating matters before VCAT, Planning Panels, and Advisory Committees, and representing the department as needed.
- Assisting in reform and change processes to deliver improved outcomes and administrative efficiency in strategic planning decision-making.
- Effectively planning, organizing, and managing resources to deliver an agreed scope of work within an agreed timeframe and budget.
- Developing strong relationships and liaising with planning regulators and stakeholders, including Transport Portfolio entities and municipal councils.
The ideal candidate will seek opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation, leveraging existing systems to enhance outcomes and efficiency. They will apply systems thinking concepts to connect their work with broader processes and structures, aiding in solving complex problems.
