Job Description

This position offers an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Urology Perioperative team at Calvary Adelaide Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse, you will be accountable for the delivery of direct patient care, providing clinical support and direction to Registered, Enrolled, Graduate, Novice and Student Nurses.

You will work closely with our Visiting Medical Officers to enable great care for our patients. We pride ourselves on being patient advocates and developing sound systems to enable this. Your primary goal will be to support and entrench a culture of clinical excellence and best practice within the clinical speciality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Clinical Manager in everyday running of the department including: stock management, procurement, education, HR matters, liaising with VMOs and company reps etc.
  • Be accountable for the delivery of direct patient care.
  • Provide clinical support and direction to Registered, Enrolled, Graduate, Novice and Student Nurses.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities, be appropriately qualified, experienced and a motivated health professional who is able to impart their knowledge and expertise to ensure safe, high quality clinical care that meet relevant standards.
  • Ensure a culture of clinical excellence, contemporary practice and professional development within the clinical speciality.

Requirements

  • AHPRA Registration.
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.

Salary

$85,000 - $110,000 per annum + benefits, depending on experience.

Calvary Adelaide Hospital is South Australia's newest and largest private hospital, featuring 23 Operating Theatres and Procedural Rooms, 324 inpatient rooms, 20 ICU beds, a 24-hour emergency department and rehabilitation services.
