Compassionate care is at the forefront of our mission to support individuals and families during their most vulnerable times. We are seeking a Transfer Care Specialist to join our team, playing a vital role in transporting the deceased with dignity and respect.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting individuals from various locations, including nursing homes, hospitals, residences, and coroner's offices to our funeral home. This role requires maintaining composure in challenging situations while displaying compassion and kindness.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record, be able to safely lift 100 lbs, and have excellent communication skills. They will also need to navigate local roads and highways with varying traffic, time of day/night, and weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the safe and respectful transportation of deceased individuals
  2. Comply with relevant laws and regulations regarding transportation and paperwork
  3. Maintain a neat and presentable appearance while representing our organization
  4. Perform other duties as required, such as vehicle washing and maintenance

Requirements:

  • Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs safely
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
