Be a Friend to a Lonely Elderly Person

Making a positive impact in someone's life can be incredibly rewarding. As a volunteer visitor, you'll have the opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with an elderly lady who's feeling lonely.

This role involves visiting the client on a weekly or fortnightly basis, depending on your availability, between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Sunday. You'll spend quality time with the client, chatting, enjoying a cup of coffee and cake together, or simply being present for them.

Regular visits can help reduce feelings of isolation and improve their overall well-being. Your friendly company will bring joy and companionship to their life, making a real difference in their daily routine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit the client on a regular basis
  • Engage in conversation and activities with the client
  • Provide companionship and emotional support

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by the organization
  • Working with Vulnerable people check
