Expert Payroll Specialist

A leading organization is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join their team on a 12-month contract basis.
The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and supportive payroll unit, providing expert services to the corporate workforce.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare accurate and timely payroll information, including salary disbursement, allowances, overpayment recovery, and leave management for data input and assist with checking.
- Maintain accurate records to ensure service quality, data integrity, and compliance with relevant industrial instruments within strict time frames, utilizing advanced payroll software.
- Provide a responsive and confidential client advisory service to internal and external customers, resolving complex payroll-related enquiries and problems as required.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, including tax, superannuation, financial, and accounting standards through timely preparation and processing.
- Support the payroll lead and services manager in managing payroll-related activities within the scope of your training and competence.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, payroll reform activities, and user acceptance testing.
- Conduct regular audits as required and implement corrective action to mitigate risk and exposure, ensuring employee payments are processed accurately and payroll data integrity is maintained.
- Minimum 3 years end-to-end payroll experience.
- Solid experience in HRIS systems, preferably PayGlobal.
- High level proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Sound knowledge of key legislation, including the Fair Work Act, Superannuation Guarantee Act, and Workers' Compensation Act.
