Dental Practice Leader

As a Dental Practice Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our accredited dental practice.
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and inspire a dedicated team of dental assistants and receptionists. Your leadership skills will be instrumental in maintaining strict infection control standards, delivering exceptional dental procedures, and providing outstanding patient care and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead from the front – Two days of this role involve hands-on experience in both dental assisting and reception duties, with the remaining time dedicated to administrative tasks.
- Oversee the management and coordination of dental stock purchases for the centre; ensure efficient use of products, minimize wastage, and eliminate expiring items.
- Develop and implement effective strategies for leading and managing dental assistants and receptionists, including onboarding, training, and induction, rostering, coaching, and performance management.
- Promote Teachers Health's core values and culture across the team.
- Ensure smooth patient bookings and maximize productivity within the dental practice.
- Monitor and review dental processes to guarantee effectiveness and efficiency.
- Maintain and enforce infection control policies and procedures among all dental employees and contractors.
- Verify accurate financial information for reporting purposes.
- Evaluate compliance with ADA and AHPRA policies and guidelines.
To succeed as our Dental Practice Leader, you must possess:
- A minimum of 1 year's experience as a Dental Practice Manager.
- Detailed knowledge and application of infection control processes.
- Proven experience in managing and leading a team.
- A positive and professional communication style, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- An excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
- Dental Assisting Cert III or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience with Oasis, Examine Pro, and HAMBS is beneficial.

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
