Merchandise Planner

We are seeking a skilled Merchandise Planner to join our BCM Events team. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will partner closely with category managers to provide decision support through analysis of historical performance, interpretation of current and future trends, understanding of marketing and operational initiatives, and focus on the merchandise transformation and BU Support team.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Providing recommendations for trading activity based on interpretation of prior performance and historical trends
- Conducting in-depth post-event analysis
- Quantifying SKUs for range plans and event buys
- Making recommendations for changes to store distribution
- Determining ideal shelf stockholding based on planned rate of sale and carton size
- Planning weekly sales, markdowns, and margin for monthly financial projections
- Reporting and analysis of special trading activity
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of influencing others, the ability to assess financial risk and forecast accurately, previous experience with seasonal and event promotions and analysis, and the capability to improve efficiency and accuracy of analytical tools and spreadsheets.
