Principal Software Engineer

We're looking for talented engineers to join our Client Connectivity team. As a member of this team, you'll be responsible for developing software across our platform: Low Latency FIX engine platform, FIX protocol, support tooling and infrastructure management.
You'll work closely with a highly skilled pool of full stack engineers to design, develop and deploy these systems that run within tight latency budgets in order of microseconds.
In this role, you'll also get significant exposure to various business flows and collaborate with agile cross region development teams & business functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing and deploying low-latency systems
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes
- Owning and delivering key OKRs for the Global Markets business
- Providing training and guidance to junior team members
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 1.5+ years of work experience on Java/C++/Linux system platforms
- Strong development background with experience with Java and at least one other language
- Strong problem-solving skills, proficient with data structures and passionate about learning new technologies
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, ability to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions
- Industry experience with Securities trading and FIX protocol is a plus
- Relevant experience in building low-latency systems is a plus
