We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer and Warehouse Officer. This is a 26-week contract role with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock Management: Handle stock movement and reorganization in a busy staging area where orders are processed and prepared for customer collection.
  • Unloading and Storage: Unload trucks, store, and allocate stock to designated locations as per order requirements.
  • Customer Assistance: Assist customers upon arrival to collect their orders, ensuring a welcoming experience and efficient location of items.
  • Picking and Packing: Perform minor picking and packing tasks onsite, coordinated through our e-commerce platform.
  • Administrative Tasks: Support with admin tasks and demonstrate strong administrative skills alongside warehouse capabilities.
  • Autonomous Role: Take on all responsibilities currently undertaken by the full-time staff member on leave.
Requirements
  • Forklift License: Must have a valid forklift license.
  • Customer Engagement: Strong customer engagement skills, capable of interacting with customers in a friendly manner.
  • Warehouse Skills: Ability to assist with warehouse tasks as needed.
  • Pre-employment Checks: Police check and two references (conducted internally if successful).
About the Role

This role is to backfill an employee on leave and requires someone who can work autonomously and take on all duties of the full-time staff member on leave. There is a possibility of extension for the right candidate, as the warehouse often experiences staffing shortages and long-term opportunities may arise for those who excel in the role.
