About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Surveying Lecturer to join our team. As a Mine Surveying Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and assisting students in obtaining their qualification by delivering practical and theoretical lessons, both indoors and outdoors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver curriculum for Mine Surveying courses, including practical and theoretical lessons
  • Teach students how to produce maps and analyze geographic information system (GIS) data
  • Train students on surveying software and equipment
  • Collect and analyze spatial data related to roads, railways, and open pit mining operations
Requirements
  • Completed a three-year surveying qualification, including mining and geology units
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable)
  • Minimum of 5 years' recent surveying experience working in an underground mining environment or FIFO for more than 37.5 hours per week
  • Understanding of the workflow process in and around an underground mine site
  • Knowledge of the mining cycle and surveyors' roles and responsibilities within the underground environment
  • Located in Perth, Australia, with working rights
