Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced full-time cook to join our team, focusing on Japanese cuisine. The successful candidate will contribute to our continued success by delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Responsibilities- Ensure effective temperature regulations of facilities, ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment to maintain food safety and quality.
- Assist in menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, food safety, food serving/presentation, and sanitation of the kitchen area.
- Develop knowledge of different stages and techniques in seasoning food, including pre-cooking, during cooking, and post-cooking.
- Accommodate specific dietary needs while ensuring meals remain delicious and nutritious.
- Train kitchen staff and apprentices to maintain high standards of food preparation, safety, and efficiency in the kitchen.
- AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
- Knowledge and familiarity of Japanese cuisine
- Passion for great food
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high culinary standards
- Confident and influential ability in a team to promote effective teamwork
