About the Role

As a Wards Person, you will play a key role in patient care by supporting patient hygiene and facilitating the movement of equipment and supplies across departments.

You will work collaboratively with nursing management and patients in a health facility environment. Your main duties will include:

  • Transporting patients safely via bed or wheelchair across the facility
  • Working effectively as a team member, supporting others and taking directions from team leaders, supervisors, and other staff as required
  • Providing support to clinical teams in response to emergency care and high-risk priorities

About You:

We are looking for individuals who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients and colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work independently, with effective time management and prioritization skills.

In addition, we require applicants to have a good knowledge of infection control and work health and safety standards and procedures, with a particular focus on clinical manual handling.
