Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Front End Game Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing game mechanics, visual effects, and animations to create a seamless and captivating player experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Game Development: Develop and refine game mechanics and features to enhance gameplay and user experience.
  • Visual Effects: Design and integrate visual and audio effects to add excitement and depth to the gaming experience.
  • Animation Integration: Collaborate with animators to seamlessly incorporate animations into the game.
  • Code Quality: Write clear, efficient, and maintainable code that can be easily understood and reused across different parts of the game.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, artists, and developers to design, prototype, and develop games for a wide variety of desktop and mobile platforms.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Front End Development: Proficiency in building game UI, end-to-end tests, game logic, and animations.
  • Experience with PixiJS, Svelte, and Svelte Kit: Previous experience helping package and maintain continuous deployments.
  • Education and Certifications: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Typescript, PlayWright, Xstate, Git, HTML, CSS (SCSS): Exposure to these technologies.
  • Slot Machine Game Knowledge: Familiarity with slot machine game development.
