Program Delivery Specialist

At the heart of our organisation's vision to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the government, we are seeking a skilled Program Delivery Specialist.

This critical role will provide centralised program delivery for grant programs and initiatives driving policy outcomes across the government and for all citizens.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior managers, program leads, and key internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and undertake timely operational activities ensuring successful delivery of grant program outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of grant programs and initiatives administered by the centre, from initiation to delivery, including scheduling and tracking of tasks, activities, and resources, coordination of delivery partners, and proactive improvement of systems and processes.
  • Utilise sophisticated reporting tools and process guidance material to meet program delivery needs, understand, and interrogate systems to produce data-driven insights, identify risks and operational issues, propose sustainable solutions, undertake quality assurance checks, and use data insights to inform key decision-making and future needs.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of grant programs.
  • Prepare or contribute to the preparation of high-quality briefs and correspondence on program matters to senior management, the executive, the minister, and relevant organisations.

About You:

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate:

  • Program/Project Management: A sound understanding of government grant program management, end-to-end operational grant program delivery, risk, and issues management, and program governance, including confidentiality, probity, and procedural fairness.
  • Communication skills: High-level written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to prepare quality, concise, and timely briefings, reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Leadership: Proven skills in people management or team leadership, with the ability to work flexibly, collaboratively, lead by example, build capability and capacity, and deliver positive and effective outcomes in a fast-paced matrix environment.

Mandatory requirements include proficiency/experience in Microsoft 365 tools - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams, advanced knowledge and previous experience contributing to the delivery of government grant programs using the Salesforce grants management system (GEMS), and a tertiary qualification in public policy, project/stakeholder/emergency management, or related discipline.
