Superintendent - Ammonia Plant Leader

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead a team of Supervisors on a Shutdown project at a chemical plant in Central Queensland. As the Superintendent, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services, providing supervision and coordination, and ensuring the successful completion of the project.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the availability of materials, machinery, equipment, and personnel to ensure the completion of work.
- Conduct daily toolbox and pre-start meetings to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Ensure Supervisors and labor are suitably trained and possess the necessary skills to undertake their designated responsibilities.
- Assess risks and hazards involved in tasks and develop methods to manage them to prevent incidents, injury, and damage.
- Maintain accurate daily timesheets for labor and equipment.
- Plan and coordinate resources and equipment for Outages and conduct the work in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure the quality requirements of the client are met and Company procedures are followed.
We are looking for a candidate with a Trade Certificate and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role. You should have experience in maintenance or shutdown projects, preferably in chemical plants or similar. You should also have experience in planning Shutdown and Pre-Shutdown activities.
- Strong communication and written skills with the ability to establish clear lines of control and delegation.
- Be approachable and tactful with good time management skills.
- Strong client focus and a genuine desire to assist team members.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, and Outlook.
