Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data operations, you will play a crucial role in designing systems that scale, protect data quality, and support teams with data, reporting, and insights.

You will work collaboratively with Technology squads, ETL Engineers, and the Head of Infrastructure to create flexible, scalable, and efficient data models that cater to diverse analytical and processing requirements.

Our ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on data modelling, aggregation, and business intelligence. They should have a proven ability to design and build efficient data models within a data warehouse environment and possess expert-level SQL skills for complex data manipulation, querying, and aggregation.

As a Data Engineer at our organization, you will be responsible for creating self-service capabilities for business users while maintaining enterprise-grade security and governance standards. You will also establish standards and automated processes to ensure data maintains accuracy, completeness, and consistency throughout its lifecycle.

Additionally, you will implement multi-layered security measures including encryption, access controls, and continuous monitoring to protect sensitive data. Our ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and has excellent communication skills to translate business needs into technical data solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on data modelling, aggregation, and business intelligence.
  • Proven ability to design and build efficient data models within a data warehouse environment.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and dimensional modelling.
  • Expert-level SQL skills for complex data manipulation, querying, and aggregation.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate business needs into technical data solutions.
