Job Description:

Synopsis

The Senior Clinical Psychologist will provide clinical leadership and supervision to clinical psychologists within the Centre for Psychotherapy and across Hunter New England Mental Health. This includes offering consultation to mental health clinicians on complex cases involving Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Eating Disorders (ED). Additionally, the role involves delivering specialist supervision and training to mental health staff or teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapies such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), DBT for Eating Disorders, CBT-e (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders), and Conversational Model (CM) Therapy for individuals and/or groups.
  • Offer clinical leadership and supervision to clinical psychologists within the Centre for Psychotherapy and across Hunter New England Mental Health.
  • Provide consultation to mental health clinicians on complex cases involving BPD and ED.
  • Deliver specialist supervision and training to mental health staff or teams.

About You

We are seeking a highly experienced clinical psychologist with a passion for evidence-based psychotherapies and clinical leadership. Key qualifications include experience in delivering one or more psychotherapy models used at the Centre for Psychotherapy, demonstrated experience in clinical supervision, consultation, training, and/or research, and a strong ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and support the professional growth of clinicians.
