Transportation Specialist

At our Transport Company, we are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to coordinate local and regional transportation for a major client. Located in Kingsgrove, this role is part of a well-established Australian owned and operated business.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and allocate deliveries to ensure timely and efficient transportation
- Coordinate driver run sheets and time sheets to optimize routes and reduce costs
- Liaise with customers and drivers to resolve any issues or concerns
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls to provide exceptional customer service
- Create transport routes based on business and customer needs to increase efficiency
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed
- Develop and maintain relationships and rapport with all staff and drivers to foster a positive work environment
- Previous experience as a Transport Allocator or similar role
- Knowledge of the Sydney metro area to plan efficient routes
- Ability to effectively plan and organize driver runs to meet customer demands
- Strong problem-solving skills to resolve any logistical challenges
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal to interact with customers and drivers
- Driven and passionate about the transport industry to deliver high-quality results
