Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Hoerbiger. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of industrial air and gas compressors, gas engines, and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduled maintenance and overhaul of compressors, gas engines, rotating machinery, and associated equipment
  • Accurate and timely recording of data related to work performed
  • Fault finding and problem solving
  • Installation and commissioning of equipment
  • Working closely with Hoerbiger sales and service personnel
  • Maintaining relationships with customers to promote and retain business
  • Participation in training and development opportunities and sharing knowledge with colleagues

Requirements

  • Relevant formal education and training (Trade Qualifications in Fitting and Machining or Equivalent)
  • Experience in working with compressors, gas engines, and/or associated equipment (Oil and Gas experience an advantage)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently or within small teams
  • An understanding of quality, safety, and environmental systems and principles
  • A willingness to travel domestically, and occasionally to remote locations for service work at client facilities (Field Service)
  • A current Driver's License and Passport
