About this role

ASD's Trust & Assurance Branch is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join their technical workforce and contribute to the sustainment of critical capability.

This opportunity will suit Systems Administrators interested in expanding their skills across a wide range of technologies, including operating systems, virtualisation, networking and database technologies.

As a Systems Administrator, you will work alongside a committed team required to transition new capability into operation and ensure ongoing sustainment. You will assist in the decommissioning of legacy capability and contribute to the enhancement of existing bespoke capability.

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

  • Maintaining and supporting systems, software, databases and associated hardware.
  • Installing and sustaining new capability and assisting in its transition to operations.
  • Assisting in the enhancement of bespoke capability.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to solve problems and achieve objectives.
  • Applying experience and knowledge across a breadth of hardware and software solutions.
  • Growing an understanding of cryptography and IT security.
  • Using technical knowledge and leadership to mentor and develop junior staff.
