The Government of South Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Manager, Legislation and Strategy. This role is a key part of the Attendance Directorate within the Support & Inclusion Division, and is responsible for providing expert leadership and direction in the regulatory framework surrounding school attendance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic advice and guidance on legislative and policy matters related to school attendance
- Lead and manage a small team responsible for implementing legal advice and direction
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and implement strategies to improve attendance for priority cohorts
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Experience in the education sector or child protection
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
