About the Role

The Government of South Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Manager, Legislation and Strategy. This role is a key part of the Attendance Directorate within the Support & Inclusion Division, and is responsible for providing expert leadership and direction in the regulatory framework surrounding school attendance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on legislative and policy matters related to school attendance
  • Lead and manage a small team responsible for implementing legal advice and direction
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve attendance for priority cohorts
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Experience in the education sector or child protection
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
