As an Advanced Mental Health Care Specialist, you will:

  • Utilize your advanced clinical knowledge and skills to provide expert assessments, diagnostics, care, and intervention to patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide leadership, clinical supervision, and guidance to the team, promoting evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies, guidelines, and research activities, advancing the delivery of best-practice care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including external stakeholders, to enhance patient outcomes and improve healthcare services.
  • Practice within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner Standards, upholding the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • A strong background in mental health, with experience in clinical leadership and advanced practice.
  • The ability to work at an advanced practice level, influencing clinical care and policy development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
