Delivering Education and Training
As a Medical Educator PEP Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering all education and training activities associated with the PEP Specialist training program. This will include designing and delivering curriculum, conducting workshops and seminars, and providing individual coaching and mentoring to participants.

Mentoring and Coaching
You will also work as a medical educator mentor to conduct inductions, learning needs assessments, monitor participant progress, consultation observations, and case discussions. This will involve providing guidance and support to participants to help them achieve their learning goals.

Assessment and Evaluation
In addition to your teaching and mentoring responsibilities, you will participate in Workplace-Based Assessments (WBA) as an assessor. This will involve evaluating the competence of participants against established standards and criteria.

Remediation and Program Development
You will contribute to remediation, program document and resource development, and performance evaluations. This will involve working closely with colleagues to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in general practice education and training. You will require:
  • RACGP Fellowship.
  • CCE (Clinical Competency Exam), External clinical teaching visit (ECTV) or WBA Assessing experience would be highly desirable.
  • Previous RTO experience in general practice performance assessment and education/training also highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated high level of initiative, conceptual and analytical thinking, and high level of attention to detail.
  • Confidence with technologies to assist GP training such as video conferencing (Zoom and Microsoft Teams), screen sharing, email, and web portals.
