Job Summary

The Technical Support Expert plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective development of applications. They align with business technical needs, adhere to service level agreements through continuous improvement strategies, and maintain effective governance and reporting regimes for the IT application portfolio.

  • Maintain alignment with business needs and stakeholder understanding;
  • Manage third-party applications, assist with incident management;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver consistent service levels;
  • Provide expert consultancy and support for application development, especially during major incidents, to meet business needs effectively;
  • Handle complex issues, escalate when necessary, and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues;
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of industry-leading technologies and tools;
  • Providing timely and accurate support to end-users and stakeholders;
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting complex technical issues;
  • Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in application support or a related field;
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality support and resolving complex technical issues;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Experience with Service Now or similar platforms is beneficial.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field;
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Java);
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
